**What you will be doing**
Enhance your career by joining an exciting international greenfield airport project, a high profile project with strong executive support. Take a lead role in influencing and guiding project managers and schedulers across the organisation. Build your client skills in a client facing role on this master systems integration project with multiple systems suppliers. Work with Project Managers in a collaborative and supportive team environment to ensure that all projects are scheduled and resourced in-line with DXC and industry standards. Provide technical coaching and mentoring to project teams with the flexibility to work from any location in Australia, including work from home arrangements. This role will be supported by a second scheduler resource.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Drive the strategic approach, development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of Primavera P6 project schedules.
- Work collaboratively with Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure that related strategies and methods are integrated within the project schedules.
- Perform project schedule analysis activities.
- Provide support to Project Managers with the day to day management of their respective schedules.
- Maintain the project schedule baseline and report variances to Program Manager.
- Perform schedule quality assurance activities.
- Update and maintain program management schedules.
- Produce weekly customer facing schedules and reports as required.
- Review project milestones and identify any anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Work in conjunction with relevant project managers to understand current and emerging requirements to enable effective resource planning.
- Periodically review the progress made to date against the program plan through earned value reporting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 as a Master Scheduler
- At least ten years’ experience as a Project Scheduler using Primavera P6 in a multi-supplier / multi-project environment.
- Strong Acumen Fuse experience.
- Demonstrated experience and exposure to project management activities including the methods and principles associated with planning and schedule construction.
- Sound analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Advanced communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a diverse range of people and build positive relationships in an environment of change.
- Australian citizenship essential to be able to support federal and other government clients.
