**About the Role**

**Full Time Fixed Term until 29/06/2026**

The Technical Services Manager - Networks sits within Enterprise Technology and is responsible for providing ongoing support and management of Department of Transport’s enterprise network and associated infrastructure systems. The role will collaborate with several business stakeholders and third parties to address day to day maintenance, major and minor requests, incidents, and changes associated with the enterprise network.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Maintenance of Assets and Services - The Technical Service Manager - Networks has ensured that network assets and associated services have been proactively maintained to business expectations. This includes the effective maintenance of current state documentation and artefacts for network assets and services.
- Service Delivery - The incumbent has fulfilled and resolved requests, incidents, and defects according to agreed service levels.
- Compliance - Operational compliance and standards have been applied to the DOT enterprise network.
- Stakeholder Management - The incumbent has established their credibility and that of their team, and has gained the trust of key stakeholders through the delivery of great service. Strong relationships have been developed and maintained with senior stakeholders at DTP.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in information management, computer science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of managing enterprise network

**Desirable**
- Formal certification in network products and services.
- Formal certification in ITIL4.
- Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise networks.

**ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**
- Responsible for implementing solution Designs, technology roadmaps and products
- Maintain incident and Service request tickets to ensure progress is achieved and closed in a timely fashion.
- Participate in the IT Change Advisory Board to represent enterprise networks.
- Assist the Senior Manager -Technical and Cloud Engineering Service to identify and remediate risk associated with the enterprise networks.
- Assist the development of Post Incident review for enterprise networks.
- Assist major and minor projects with network consultancy and guidance for solution design and implementation.
- Lead incident response and critical patching tasks with both internal DTP teams and outsourced providers for enterprise networks.
- Work with the Senior Manager -Technical and Cloud Engineering Service to ensure the team is appropriately enabled with tools, training and resources to perform their tasks.
- Work with internal DTP teams and outsourced providers to maintain the currency of network assets and associated services.
