As the Accounts Payable Officer, your duties will include:

- Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor accounts, reconciling statements, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for payments.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including updating the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, such as accruals and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues promptly.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the education sector is a plus.
