**About the Role...**

An opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Operations Buildings team as a Building Maintenance Officer. Under direction and guidance, this role is responsible for undertaking maintenance and repairs to Council building assets that assists in achieving the overall vision of the Playford Community. The general building maintenance and trade work will consist of (but not limited to) painting, minor concrete works, fencing, tiling, and gyprocking.

**About You...**

Holding trade qualifications in a building discipline (e.g., Carpentry or Cabinet Making) along with a valid Driver's Licence (MR) and Forklift Licence (LF) is required. The ability to interpret plans and specifications, establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with colleagues, interact professionally with the public, and work effectively across the organisation is essential.

It is essential that you will have demonstrated experience in all facets of Building Maintenance including:

- Carpentry (first & second fix);
- Tiling;
- Roofing;
- Minor Plumbing; and
- Minor Electrical.
