The Strategic Analytics & Commercial Insights Manager is a vital role within the commercial organisation responsible for driving strategic decision-making, providing actionable insights along with creating interactive and visually appealing dashboards to support the business. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyse, and interpret various data sources to identify actionable business opportunities to drive overall commercial performance. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, key accounts, operations, commercial excellence to provide high quality actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the broader commercial teams. You will be naturally curious and have a high learning agility, a continuous learner, a problem solver and a desire to partner and lead a data to action mindset across the organisation.
Strategic Performance Analysis:
- Develop a deep understanding of the organisation's products/services, target market segments, and competitive landscape.
- Analyse sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Generate, maintain and continuously seek to improve a standard weekly/monthly suite of reports for the commercial team in accordance with required time frames. Reports inclusive, Sales and Distribution, Sales to TGT/forecast by key accounts, Market Share Reports etc.
- Provide insights on sales patterns, to optimise revenue generation.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers to plan, prepare and validate accurate annual quota setting for sales teams in alignment with company targets and plan.
Business Growth Rebates
- Support commercial teams in development and performance of customer rebates
- Support rebate accrual process in coordination with Rebates Analyst and Finance team.
Customer & Market Insights:
- Utilise all available data sources and analytics tools to generate actionable data driven insights on customer sales performance, behaviours, preferences and trends.
- Working with marketing & sales to utilise data to identify key market trends, unmet customer needs, and emerging opportunities that can drive business growth.
- Conduct segmentation analysis to identify target segments to support tailored sales & marketing strategies.
Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
- Review, analyse and present available data to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of sales targets, pricing strategies, product launches, and go-to-market plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and develop business strategies.
Create Data Visualisation Experience
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and senior leadership teams to design and develop interactive sales dashboards using modern data visualisation tools and technologies.
- Extract and transform data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that enable users to explore and analyse data easily.
- Implement data filters, drill-down capabilities, and other interactive features to enhance user experience and facilitate data exploration.
- Optimise dashboard performance and ensure efficient data retrieval and rendering.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to the sales dashboards based on changing business requirements and feedback from users.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualisation and dashboard development.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, senior leadership, finance & commercial excellence utilising data to align commercial strategies and goals.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including master data, customer data administration, operations & commercial excellence to integrate data sources and ensure data accuracy, integrity & consistency across the organisation.

**Education**:
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited tertiary educational institution.
- Proven experience in market research, business intelligence or strategic analysis roles preferred
Minimum:
- 5+ years’ experience in a business analyst role,commercial analyst role or similar
- Advanced knowledge & proficiency in using data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Excel, Powerpoint, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Data Warehouses or similar software.
- Demonstrated ROI analysis and process improvements.
- Strong and demonstrated experience with SAP
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and market research methodologies.
