You will be working as a Local Business Controller and will be part of the Robotics and Discrete Automation (RA) Business Area for the Finance Division based in Notting Hill, Australia. In this role you will be reporting to Regional Controller — RA and will be responsible for providing local financial leadership for the countries Australia and New Zealand.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules
- Performing business analysis, planning and forecasting, financial reporting, and Business Information
- Monitoring the progress achieved and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision making, identify issues and advise management on action plans and operational strategies needed
- Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Performing internal control and documentation effectively
- Managing and monitoring the cash flow and take necessary action to improve Net Working Capital by focusing on areas such as product or business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over or under-absorption analysis, inventory analysis, balance sheet reviews etc.
- Ensuring processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with the group and unit requirements. Maintain proper audit trail and documentation for future tax, internal or external audits and reviews
- Working with a multifunctional financial team to ensure accuracy of the financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow. Coordinating and supporting various HR-related activities such as data collection or reporting
**Your background**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Certification in CPA or other equivalents
- qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting role and experience in controlling and managing high-volume data, with multiple-dimension analysis
- Strong experience and knowledge in Abacus and in SAP modules such as Project module, Sales and Distribution module, Finance and cost controlling module (FICO) is a must for the success of the role
- Knowledge of US GAAP, financial policies and procedures and ability to effectively interpret financial operating statistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work individually or in teams with deadlines and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally
