**About this role**
Records Coordinator manages the HPCA’s records management program including policies, standards and procedures and using Content Manager records management system (TRIM) to support effective business operations and ensure compliance with legislative requirements, policies and professional standards.

**What you'll be doing**
- Develop, manage and maintain an efficient and effective records management program for the HPCA and Councils, covering both paper and electronic formats.
- Manage the systems administration role for the TRIM electronic document management system, including working with IT to maintain and upgrade TRIM as necessary to optimise ease of use, productivity and compliance with standards to ensure good recordkeeping and business processes across the organisation.
- Analyse and interpret relevant legislation, policies, guidelines and standards and provide advice to management and staff on compliance obligations, business practices and procedures.
- Develop, maintain and update relevant policies, standards, procedures, operational manuals, disposal schedules, thesauri and classification schemes.
- Develop, coordinate and deliver (or source) appropriate staff training and awareness programs.
- Manage regular audits of the system and files and administer the long term storage, preservation and disposal of records to minimise on-site storage requirements, enable efficient retrieval of files and comply with statutory requirements.
- Undertake specialised records management projects and deliver to quality standards on time and within budget.
- Manage and monitor the exchange and movement of documents and files between the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Councils, as required.
**About you**
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who have the following qualities:
- Experience in records management and high level knowledge and experience of the State Records Act 1998 and associated policies, principles, standards, processes and trends, including digital archiving.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience.

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.
The position is based at the HPCA Pitt Street offices, located only a short walking distance from Central Station and Belmore Park.
