**Scrum Master - Brisbane - $870 per day**

Our client is a global IT services company. It is a market-leading global IT integrator focusing on defence projects. They are looking for Scrum Master to lead and guide the Agile Methodologies within the project as well as guidance within Azure DevOps. The Scrum Master is needed to establish and run the Scrum ceremonies.

This is hybrid role with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

**Responsibilities and experience for the Scrum Master**
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies
- Eliminate impediments
- Facilitate the Team progress towards team goals
- Work with the development team, the PO and the wider business will be crucial to achieving success in this role but ultimately coordination & communication with the DPM is key.
- Help the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
- The rules of an Agile Team are lightweight, but they are rules nonetheless, and the Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing them

**Essential Criteria**:

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Previous experience working in a large and fast paced organisation
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (or Jira) to manage backlogs, resources and progress towards the sprint goal and wider milestones
- Comfortable taking the initiative with all tasks and raise/escalate where only absolutely necessary

Our client is looking to hire asap and the contract will initially run for 6 months at $870 per day.
