**In this role, you'll**:
Be the one monitoring traffic flow, responding to incidents, and coordinating real-time solutions using advanced systems like MMS, SCATS, and SRMS. When congestion hits or an incident unfolds, you’ll be the calm in the storm, making smart, fast decisions that ripple across the entire network.

This isn’t just about pushing buttons. It’s about teamwork, situational awareness, and being the voice that helps field crews, leaders, and stakeholders stay aligned. You’ll contribute to planning, support major events, and ensure that every response is safe, timely, and effective. And through it all, you’ll be demonstrating leadership behaviours that make a real difference for commuters, communities, and your colleagues.

**About you**
You’ve got hands-on experience in traffic management, and you know your way around motorway operations or SCATS systems. You’ve earned a relevant qualification, or equivalent background speaks for itself. Either way, you’re someone who doesn’t flinch when the pressure’s on, even if it’s outside regular hours.

Smart Motorway experience? If you’ve worked with dynamic lane controls, variable speed limits, or automated incident detection, we’d love to hear about it. This role thrives on that kind of expertise.

Now, let’s talk shifts. This isn’t your standard nine-to-five. It’s a 24/7 operations centre, and we need someone who’s ready to commit to a rotating roster—including weekends and public holidays. If you’ve done shift work before and know how to stay sharp around the clock, you’re already ahead of the game.
