**About the Team**
Located in our state of the art Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (in Redbank). You will become a key part of the Program Management Office (PMO) Team.
**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Project Risk Lead, **who will be responsible for overseeing the risk management framework of policies, procedure guidelines and tools. You will drive the implementation across the various programs, governing risk related data and its creation; consistently adhering to guidelines across RDA.
To achieve this you will effectively manage and lead a team of Risk Officers delivering services to all RDA projects such as L121 Ph 3B, 5B, L54, L155, L400 Ph 2.
The general generic duties of the **Project Risk Lead** include:
- Leading the establishment, maintenance and improvement of companywide risk management processes and tools;
- Ensure risk and issues management reviews, mitigation planning and treatment action progress assessments are performed within each RDA Program and/or Domain regularly in accordance with schedule and reporting requirements;
- Advise on complex risk analysis, including schedule and cost analysis, to support risk prioritisation and program decision making;
- Assess potential gaps in risk management coverage across the business/program and work with key stakeholders to address identified gaps;
- Critically evaluate the quality of risk, issue or opportunity information within the risk management tool and work with Risk Officers and Program/Domain management to improve the quality of information;
- Work with Rheinmetall sub-contractors, or other Rheinmetall supporting entities, to establish or review their risk management activities;
- Deliver risk management training to program members including risk management tools, processes and methods;
- Critically review updates of relevant Program Risk Management Plans or Program Management Plans to assist with improvement of these plans;
- Provide briefings and support to RDA Leaders, Program Directors, Managers on risk management
- Support risk, schedule and cost planning activities for new contract bids or major contract change proposals;
- Provide oversight and assistance to Risk Officers to support prioritisation and treatment of risks, program and business decision making; and
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

- Extensive Risk Management experience and/or suitable qualifications in risk or project management;

- Analytical approach and structured problem solving abilities;
- Experience using an enterprise risk management tool, including schedule and cost risk analysis;
- Ability to adapt, learn, prioritise and structure work within a complex corporate environment;
- The ability to effectively mentor staff and ensure corporate and personal goals are met; and
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
