We are looking for a Project Lead to join our team to lead the day-to-day delivery of a number of projects and work packages to enhance system functionality and deliver improved analytics relating to the Queensland Health Workforce Management solution currently being implemented to Hospital and Health Services.
What you'll do
- Manage product based planning, risk management, reporting and project closure, and in addition analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
- Ensure project management projects and products are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health formal project management approach and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
- Manage, monitor and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
- Manage project/work package assigned resources and finance within project tolerances.
- Manage risks and issues identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in a large scale, complex IT environment, including product-based planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting, management of resources and an ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
- Proven high level skill in applying project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, and an ability to provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
- Proven high level interpersonal and written communication skills in a complex project environment, including:
- managing stakeholder relationships, ability to initiate and sustain relationships and to influence key stakeholders.
- negotiating, consulting, managing conflict, facilitating, and presenting.
- writing project documents, including project governance/compliance documentation and reports and briefing notes.
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
