Purpose of the Role

The Technology Project Lead is a key member of the Corporate Technology Services (CTS) team, responsible for leading ICT solution delivery to support large-scale business transformation

The role will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all CTS technical deliverables, ensuring alignment between CTS teams, embedded technical staff, and the program's business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The Technology Project Lead will:

  • Manage the delivery of ICT-enabled business change in accordance with approved methodologies and frameworks.
  • Lead the development and execution of technical project plans, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Implement governance and project management practices aligned with the organisation's PMO framework.
  • Work closely with solution specialists, change managers, and business analysts to ensure technical implementation activities align with business requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of technical implementation, including cutover planning, risk and issue management, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide leadership and direction to CTS technical staff embedded within business-as-usual teams, ensuring delivery against scope.
  • Represent the program at senior levels, maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors (if required).

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Qualifications:
    Tertiary qualifications and/or certification in
    Project Management
    (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM).
  • Experience:
    Minimum 3 years in successfully managing complex ICT-enabled
    business change projects
    , ideally in a healthcare or large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Leadership:
    Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary technical project teams, including resources embedded across business units.
  • Project Management Expertise:
    Strong skills in project planning, governance, risk management, and cutover activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels, including remotely.
  • Delivery Focus:
    Track record of achieving project outcomes on time and within scope, in alignment with structured project management methodologies.
