HAYS Technology has currently partnered with a large south-west coast health organisation located in Geelong CBD, Victoria.

We are seeking to appoint a **full-time permanent Test Lead/ Manager** to establish a comprehensive and adaptable testing framework based on industry best practices, utilising a risk-based testing model to define testing scope, approach, tools, and reporting standards. The project involves **Electronic Medical Record implementation**, so expertise in EMRs, CRMs, and especially Salesforce would be highly regarded.

**Your new role**

Reporting to Projects Director, the Test Lead/ Manager position entails the management and coordination of the testing process's multiple facets. The individual will craft a detailed Testing Strategy based on a risk-based model, outlining the scope, methodology, tools, and reporting mechanisms. They will pinpoint and bridge skill gaps, forge a defect management plan with stakeholders, and oversee the testing trajectory, communicating progress, risks, and issues while liaising with the testing team and Project Manager.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Tertiary degree in an information systems related discipline or equivalent information technology experience
- Testing Management qualifications (e.g. ISTQB qualifications)
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing testing activities, preferably in a Test Lead or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing comprehensive Test Strategies, including risk-based testing models.
- The ability to define and establish testing approaches, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Familiarity with defect management processes, including defining severity ratings and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Expertise in defining entry and exit criteria for testing cycles or phases.
- Demonstrated experience in creating detailed test plans, including test case structures, designs, and traceability back to requirements.
- Track record of monitoring testing progress, lodging observations and defects, and ensuring compliance with testing schedules.
- Excellent reporting skills, including providing status updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and test case execution statistics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the testing team, stakeholders, and Project Manager.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to identify and address issues or risks in testing efforts, approach, or test case design.
- Knowledge and experience with testing tools, preferably including Jira or similar software.
- The ability to assess the skills and capabilities required for executing testing and providing onboarding materials and training to the testing team.

Please note: Due to the nature of our client, you should be an Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident OR Regional Resident.

**What you'll get in return**

This role offers you $120K - 130K + super (Open to discuss), with an immediate start. The role will be hybrid, working 3 days in the Geelong office and 2 days working from home.
