Seeking an experienced Project Officer to support a major new build construction project South of Perth CBD

**Your new company**

A major state government department based South of Perth CBD, is seeking a capable and enthusiastic project officer to support the project manager with a major new build construction project. You will initially be engaged on a 6-month temporary contract, working full-time hours and paid at a competitive hourly rate. This organisation is hoping to on-board someone into this position in late February / early March.

**Your new role**

As the Project Officer, you will be required to support the Project Manager with a variety of tasks, including:

- Assisting with planning, coordinating and tracking of project activities and deliverables
- Maintaining project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes and project status reports
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on the project, on behalf of the project manager
- Preparing reports and presentations regarding project achievements, challenges and spending
- Adhoc administrative tasks as required to support the Project Manager

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

- Previous project management / support experience, ideally working on a construction or new build project
- Advanced communication skills with confidence in liaising with stakeholders of all levels
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong written communication skills with previous experience preparing project reports and presentations
- Proven ability to work independently whilst also supporting a team
