6 Month Temp Role, Local Council Near Perth CBD

**Your new company**
Our client is a Local Council close to the Perth CBD with a strong focus on community and sustainability is looking for a part time Project Officer.

**Your new role**
As the Project Officer for the City, you will report to the Lead City Designer. You will support the management of City projects by overseeing various stages of project lifecycle and liaising with teams involved in these projects. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- Coordination of projects and management of contracts.
- Responding to enquiries and providing a high quality of service.
- Identifying issues and risks on projects and maintaining compliant work practices.
- Coordinating project reviews and organising related meetings as necessary.
- Maintaining a record of milestones and key activities and updating the project program.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation as well as Council policies.
- Other duties related to the scope and level of the position.

**What you'll need to succeed**
As a successful applicant you will need the following qualifications and experience:

- A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Civil Engineering or Construction, Town Planning.
- Understanding of project schedules and the ability to follow recommended processes, meet deadlines and work effectively and in some cases under pressure.
- Ability to research and prepare communication to stakeholders.
- A positive and engaging attitude.
