The roleThis role will see you provide authoritative advice in regards to the development, implementation and maintenance of Queensland health research ethics and governance directive. You will also be required to provide authoritative, strategic advice and analysis of research conduct and management. Key responsibilities include:

- Provide expert advice and support to senior management and other key stakeholders on research ethics and governance issues; and the conduct of sponsored clinical research and multi centre research within the state and across jurisdictions.
- Develop positive relationships and work collaborate with key stakeholders in the research ethics and governance community.
- In accordance with relevant legislation, maintain currency of the Research Management Directive, Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Research Governance Officer (RGO) Standard Operating Procedures and Researcher Guidance documents.
- To create and implement education and support programs for researchers, study coordinators, HREC Administrators and RGOs.

**The successful personYou will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and timely policy, legislative and compliance advice.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a state-wide research management resource, offering professional advice and consultation on research ethics and governance matters to stakeholders both internal and external.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change.
- Demonstrated understanding of the QH Research Management Directive/Policy, National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and ICH GCP guidelines.
