**The Role**
Reporting to the Master Attendant/Capability Systems Manager In-Port (CSM INPT) and Defence Maritime Support Services (DMSS) Capability Manager Representative, this role is responsible for the optimisation of capability to meet prescribed tasking for DMSS In Port and Towing assets. This will include daily interaction with Tasking Authorities nationally, Port Services Managers, CASG and other stakeholders to ensure adequate availability of assets for assigned tasks.
There is requirement to provide an analysis of risk, performance, governance, safety and assurance across DMSS In Port and Towing domain and platforms.

Duties may include:

- Staffing services to the Manager In Port and Towing at DMSS to meet the Navy Governance Framework.
- Provide analysis of risk, performance, safety and assurance across DMSS In Port and Towing watercraft.
- Undertake the preparation of reports, briefs, lessons learnt and any follow-on action recommendations from meetings and reviews.
- Liaise and seek information from various stakeholders.

**About our Team**
DMSS Group is responsible for the management of all port related activities in support of ADF operations and training, including the coordination, management and operational delivery of the DMSS In-Port Services (INPT).

This is based in Garden Island, Sydney. INPT services are out-sourced and delivered by industry where the contractor provides support, maintenance, crew, and operation of vessels to deliver specified services primarily in areas within the port/harbour confines at multiple locations across the country to both Australian naval operations and foreign navies/agencies. The services include towage, which involve facilitating berthing/un-berthing operations for naval operations, and general harbour services such as personnel and stores transfer, waterborne security patrols, harbour re-fueling, waste collection and marine pollution containment, among others.

This role is part of a small management team, working with ADF personnel to support day-to-day operations, and provide governance and assurance of INPT services.
