Planning Enforcement Officer
- Six month contract
- Two days from home, three days in the office

Public Sector People are currently working with an Western Council, who are seeking a Planning Enforcement Officer for a six month contract. This role is covering a period of secondment so may well go beyond six months.

An average day will include investigation of planning complaints, conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with permit conditions and gathering information / evidence for enforcement purposes. You will be carrying out inspections across residential, commercial, industrial and native vegetation areas.

Our client is looking for previous planning enforcement/compliance experience within Local Government. This council operate on a hybrid working model, with three days in the office and two from home.

**Requirements include**:

- A full valid Victorian Drivers licence.
- Ability to listen and to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders to handle stressful situation in relation to development disputes.
- Ability to gather evidence and conduct investigations to achieve planning compliance, including for prosecutions and enforcement orders where required.
- Must have previous planning enforcement / investigations experience.
