As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team.

**The Role**

An Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for tracking purchase orders, processing all invoices received for payment, and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Accounts Payable Officers monitor creditor accounts, maintain vendor and customer records and undertake related documentation and data processing.

**The Accountabilities**:

- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Coding bank statements and bank reconciliations
- Independently dealing with suppliers and investigating their queries, providing prompt resolutions to issues
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centres
- Assisting with month-end tasks

**The Typical Experiences**:

- 3+ years experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and ERP accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
