**About Us**
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.
Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdictions own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.
**VCAT**
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
**About the Role**
The Disability Liaison Coordinator (DLC) works in partnership with an additional Disability Liaison Coordinator (DLC) in responding to and managing a range of complex support needs for community members in their ability to access VCAT. The DLC's lead the intake, response, management and coordination of all disability related inquiries and take an active role in working with persons presenting with complex support needs throughout their VCAT experience.
The DLC's work with a small team of Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs). The DLC's allocate some cases to the DLO team to ensure that community members accessing VCAT are supported and provided with the assistance needed to manage their matter(s) at VCAT. The DLC's are responsible for contacting service users, external support services and liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g. registry services and Tribunal members) to ensure reasonable adjustments can be accommodated, where appropriate.
The DLC's act as a primary point of contact for the DLO team which is located within the broader Community Access Services team at VCAT. Stakeholders are varied: Tribunal users who may be living with a disability; representatives for external support services and members and staff within the Tribunal.
