**The Role**
A range of exciting opportunities exist for excellent communicators and strategic thinkers to join the Nuclear Powered Submarine Taskforce Executive team.
We are seeking the sharpest and brightest minds in Australia, and are looking for applicants who are flexible and agile, with the ability to work across a multitude of areas.
This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute your expertise to work that will impact Australia’s strategic and defence outcomes, and will contribute to the delivery of a capability that will play a key role in the defence of our country in the decades to come.
We are seeking to fill a variety of specialist roles across:
- Project management
- Program governance
- Communication
- Business and resource management
- Ministerial and parliamentary support
The roles cover different functions, including:
- Providing project planning and delivery methodologies, preparing programmatic arrangements and related artefacts, coordinating program approval processes and associated documentation.
- Plan, lead and manage the development, implementation and maintenance of business/corporate and project governance activities and frameworks to enable effective performance management and reporting.
- Preparing and developing written material, including committee, ministerial and executive briefs.
- Manage and support parliamentary, reporting and governance functions, including (but not limited to) Freedom of Information requests, developing responses to ministerial correspondence, preparing Question Time Briefs and Senate Estimates briefs.
- Business and resource management, including strategic planning; and managing facilities and human resources to achieve outputs that meet short
- and long-term goals.
- Issues management - identify emerging issues, develop and coordinate issues briefs; coordinating requests for information from the ministers’ offices, senior offices and international counterparts.
- Stakeholder management - including developing relationships with Taskforce stakeholders, drafting and negotiating briefing products, and providing advice to government.
While the roles available are varied, they all involve working part of a high-performing and fast-paced team to achieve time-critical objectives. As part of the Nuclear Powered Submarine Taskforce you will have a unique opportunity to work with colleagues within Defence, across whole of government, and with our AUKUS partners.
