DarkLab is seeking a Assistant Venues Manager to work across ITHG venues (Altar, The Garden, Cathedral). You will hit the ground running assisting us with daily venue operations, functions, team management and beyond. You will need to have the ability to think outside the box & be equipped with outstanding organisational skills. You will report to the venues' operations team and assist them with day to day tasks to see the venue run smoothly and efficiently.

The Assistant Venue Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations and service of venues, primarily focused on Altar Bar and providing support where required for In the Hanging Garden, Odeon shows, special events, Altar Bar and Dark Mofo.

**The gig**:

- Foster positive team culture and relations.
- Adapt to changing situations for smooth operations.
- Engage in constructive conflict and feedback.
- Assist with stocktakes and ordering.
- Coordinate cocktail preparation and shopping.
- Oversee maintenance completion and security briefings.
- Ensure RSA procedures are followed and records managed.
- Support stocktake admin and reconciliation processes.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and induction.
- Manage Altar staff and escalate issues as needed.
- Step into Venue Manager role temporarily if required.
- Supervise venue setup, pack down, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate staff, security, and shift breaks.
- Liaise with food vendors, bands, and DJs.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing and OH&S policies.
- Handle incidents, mandatory reporting, and customer complaints.
- Work with the functions team to deliver events.

- Knowledge of stocktaking, procurement, and ordering.
- Understanding of RSA, liquor licensing, and OH&S policies.
- Familiarity with security, incident reporting, and escalation.
- Experience with reconciliations, RSA records, and reporting.
- Coordination with artists, vendors, and functions teams for smooth events.
- Support with end-of-shift reconciliations and financial oversight.
