
Payroll & P&C Administration Assistant

**Fixed Term Contract until 31 July, 2026**
We have an opportunity for a Payroll & P&C Administration Assistant to join our People & Culture team at Mona to cover a period of parental leave until the end of July, 2026. In this multi-faceted role which reports to our Director of People & Culture, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager with the fortnightly payroll process, as well as providing support to our People & Culture team with a range of administrative and coordination activities.
This will be a busy and varied role which will suit somebody with an interest in both Payroll and People and Culture administration who is looking for their next opportunity as part of a creative and forward thinking team.
**The gig**:
- Support the Payroll Manager with fortnightly end-to-end payroll processing- Assist employees with payroll related enquiries, including system updates and issues- Ensure employee files are accurate with any updates from Business Partners actioned- Complete the relevant checks required for onboarding including visas, police checks and personal details- Assist with the offboarding process associated with payroll-
- Maintain system data to ensure employee data is current and accurate- Support the P&C team with coordination meetings and events- Ensure venue bookings, catering and other requirements are completed in a timely manner- Assist with the management of Mona’s intranet for HR (information updates, manager resources, surveys, policy acknowledgements)- Check, code and submit P&C invoices to the relevant Manager/Director for approval
**The You**:
- Previous experience in payroll administration and supporting regular payroll cycles- Helpful and keen to contribute to a range of People & Culture initiatives. Ideally you’ll also have some experience to leverage in areas such as recruitment administration and employee onboarding and offboarding- Skilled in prioritising workload, especially during surge periods and with bulk onboarding periods- Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills- Skilled in drafting process documentation and following existing procedures- Motivated by opportunities to improve processes whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of service- Comfortable learning new systems and identifying ways to optimise processes
