**What you’ll be doing**:
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity

Virgin is currently a privately owned company and has recently embarked on a journey to public listing, after which public reporting obligations will change. The objective of the Financial Reporting Manager - Public Company role is to assist in the delivery of ASX Public Company reporting obligations for the first time, subsequent to a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO). This role is required to define the deliverables across the business and work with each business area to support meeting this obligation to the standard, and in the time required (for the first time), and establish a way of working which supports the regular cadence of delivery, beyond the first reporting cycle.
- Work closely with the Manager, Group Reporting in the preparation and delivery of the Annual Report
- Responsible for leading the project management of the Annual Report, including establishing the framework, creation of the Annual Report and collaborating with the wider business and Finance Team, to ensure delivery of a cohesive Annual Report document
- Work with each business area to deliver all non-financial reporting content in the Annual Report.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of key related deliverables for an ASX listed company, as required
- Responsibility for managing the review of the non-financial content of the Annual Report by the external auditors
- Delivery of financial content for Investor Presentations to support the Annual Report
- Build effective and productive working relationships across the business and within Finance
- You will have one direct report that you will be responsible for guiding and developing

The role is initially a 12 month contract.

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- Have a CA/CPA or equivalent qualification or Masters degree in Business, Finance or similar
- Have demonstrated experience delivering an Annual Report for an ASX listed entity
- Have Project Management experience
- Have experience in an IFRS accounting environment
- Have experience in dealing with external auditors
- Have experience in driving continuous improvement in reporting processes
- Have experience with TM1, Oracle, Fusion/EBS or similar business systems
- Are a strong communicator, that can effectively manage various stakeholders across the business
- Have a solid understanding of both Financial Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis
