This listed financial institution, an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant and or Team Leader to join the group. This is due to substantial year-on-year growth within the business and added requirements in the regulatory reporting team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager you will be required to lead the reporting team and coordinate the group's financial reporting processes, and deliver accurate financial statements and other documents and disclosures for various group entities in a timely manner.

This role is starting as a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

This role also liaises with business and group finance teams to provide advice and support to the group finance community to ensure strong financial control is maintained.

Responsibilities will include;
- Lead a team to deliver accurate and timely completion of financial statements, accounting memorandums, relevant Board / Board Audit Committee papers and solvency declarations for the Group and all Australian subsidiaries, and other entities
- Review financial statements of employee / executive share plans.
- Responsible for overseeing the groups financial and regulatory reporting delivery.
- Support the Financial Reporting team to deliver on the businesses strategic growth plans.
- Drive innovations and business partnering of the Financial Reporting team with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and/or contribute to management certification over deliverables and finance shared services governance and performance updates

To be considered, you will be degree qualified in accounting, commerce or similar and hold a CA or CPA professional membership. Boasting many years of experience working in a technical financial reporting role, either from a large business and or a chartered accounting firm, you are seeking your first move into commerce. With previous experience managing teams, you are a natural leader who is highly organised and driven to deliver quality standard of work.

Finally, you possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast paced and busy environment.
