Queensland Treasury is at the forefront of driving the Government's economic priorities, ensuring a strong economy for all Queenslanders. As part of the Fiscal Strategy & Financial Reporting (FSFR) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the State's fiscal strategy by providing expert advice on whole-of-government financial management, governance, and policy. This is your chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your insights and strategic thinking will directly influence Queensland's economic future.
In This Role, You Will
- Provide strategic advice on whole-of-government finance and financial risks.
- Lead the development and implementation of key finance policy initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to resolve complex issues.
- Represent Treasury on committees and deliver high-level briefings.
- Prepare detailed reports, submissions, and presentations under tight deadlines.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and support Treasury's vision.
What Experience You Will Bring
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, policy development, and strategic risk assessment.
- Proven ability to lead and implement complex financial strategies and initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality reports and briefings.
- A collaborative mindset, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes in a fastpaced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field will be highly regarded.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
