**Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced Capability Manager.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
***
- Provide inspirational leadership and manage capability membersperformance, development, training and career pathways, ensuring culturally aligned organisational behaviours and continuous improvement is embedded to optimise organisational outcomes.
- Supportthe professional development of members through deployment, defined learningand career pathways to foster growth mindsets and the adoption of continuous personal development / learning to retain talent and enhancecareer satisfaction.
- In collaboration with the Program Manager and the capability member facilitate and provide oversight of an individual’s deployment, ensuring role fit and responsibilities are aligned, risksidentified,and controlsimplemented,including succession planning and guardrails to enable autonomy within programs.
- Providethe direction to the Capability Practice Director for the Capability area (i.e Program and Project Management) in the development ofa capability roadmap / strategy to ensure that Capability area can deliver both workforce capacity and competency tomeet and exceed the expectations of the Directorate.
- Monitor trends and accurately prepare utilisation forecasts and budgets for Capabilities capacity, identify and report on current issues and strategiesto optimise resource utilisation.
- Develop the capability as a centre of excellence and drive innovation by encouragingcapability members to challenge the status quo and contribute to the capability pool’s ways of working, by implementing and reviewing
- Capability Lead2standardised approaches, templates, methodologies and tools for scaling across the Directorate and in their relevant area.
- Providecapability matter expertise (CME) and encourage knowledge sharing across the Directorate through programsand communities of knowledge, as well as supportingcommunities of practiceinitiatives.
- Develop effective communication flows, fosteringproductive and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the organisation’s direction is cascaded down to the capability members.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Extensiveleadershipexperienceleadinghigh-performingspecialist teams,withtheability to influence,
- build strong capabilities and develop talent, including resource planning and management experience.
- Qualifications in therelevant discipline (i.e. Program and Project Management) with proven experience in developing,implementing and reviewing innovative best practice approaches, templates, methodologies and tools to optimise organisational outcomes.
