Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced **Capability Manager.** The Capability Manager will be an experienced people leader, who will define consistent, development pathways across Programs and Portfolios within the Government Health sector.

**To be successful in this role you will be responsible for**:

- Providing inspirational leadership and manage capability members performance, development, training and career pathways, ensuring culturally aligned organisational behaviours and continuous improvement is embedded to optimise organisational outcomes.
- Supporting the professional development of members through deployment, defined learning and career pathways to foster growth mindsets and the adoption of continuous personal development / learning to retain talent and enhance career satisfaction.
- In collaboration with the Program Manager and the capability members, facilitating and provide oversight of an individual's deployment, ensuring role fit and responsibilities are aligned, risks identified, and controls implemented, including succession planning and guardrails to enable autonomy within programs.
- Managing the forecasting in collaboration with the Resource Manager for resource demand which includes negotiating the allocation and re-allocation of resources to optimise project delivery.

**Key Requirements**:

- Recent and relevant project management experience, including procurement
- Strong stakeholder management experience for a large or complex project
- Confident to take the lead in meetings and work pro-actively
- Prior Government experience - desirable
