Part of the Global Murray & Roberts Group, RUC Mining Contractors are an underground-based mining contractor with nearly 50 years of projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. With key underground operations and mining construction projects, we are leaders in mechanised mining, shaft sinking, raise drilling and boxhole boring whilst supported by our Kalgoorlie Services Centre.
RUC Mining are seeking an experienced **Procurement Officer working Monday - Friday**.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
- Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned
- Handling and monitoring of claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
- Purchase and issue order in accordance with specifications.
- Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
- Source for new parts, suppliers, or sub-contractors when the need arises
**Skills & Experience**
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a purchasing environment
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Underground Mining Experience would be advantageous
- Intermediate excel skills and experience using Pronto
- Rapport building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
