As the Transition Officer, you will work collaboratively with students and relevant stakeholders to assist young people in making a successful transition from youth detention facilities to employment, training and/or educational pathways in the community. You will actively promote pathways for students to continue with further learning, training and employment opportunities after release from detention.The position will be based at our parent campus, Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre; however, the successful applicant may be required to work across our multiple campuses.

**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- The Transition Officer is responsible for meeting placement and outcome targets by successfully engaging and supporting students to transition into education and employment and sustaining their placement post-detention. The transition Officer collaborates with a range of stakeholders, including students and carers, Queensland Government partner agencies, and agencies from the broader service system.
- As the Transition Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Department to enact the school's strategic plan and participate in quality improvement activities, including data collection and analysis, program review and evaluation and implementation of innovative practice.
