**The Opportunity**
Our Port Kembla Finance team is seeking a **Procurement Specialist - Capital & Inventory** to join our Procurement function. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
The Procurement team develops and manages vendor contracts for Manufacturing Operations, providing strategic guidance for procurement planning, tendering, cost management, and contract administration, while ensuring effective vendor relationships and contract performance.
- ** manage**and maintain assigned capital and inventory contracts, ensuring delivery across cost, quality, risk, safety and environmental outcomes.
- ** build**strong supplier relationships to support major projects and inventory optimisation.
- ** identify**and implement cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- ** drive**contract and vendor performance through process improvements, benchmarking and best practice adoption.
- ** collaborate**with internal stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with project and operational requirements.

You are a strong communicator and relationship-builder, with the ability to influence stakeholders and suppliers alike. You’ll also bring:
- proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management
- strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on value creation.
- experience with capital procurement processes and vendor negotiations.
- proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
- a commitment to safety, wellbeing and sustainability.
