What you’ll contribute to

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join the Finance, Procurement & Legal division of Toyota Australia for a period of 2 years with possible extension.

The Senior Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for the development and management of indirect procurement strategies to ensure the business is supported in achieving its objectives through optimal supplier selection and management, keeping in mind, customer centricity, quality, value, compliance and sustainability.

This role is part of the Finance, Procurement and Legal Division, which is responsible for providing the business with corporate support to all procurement activities to enable Toyota Australia to achieve its business objectives.

Port Melbourne and Altona locations including work from home options available.

How you’ll make an impact- Develop procurement strategies, working closely with stakeholders to support business objectives keeping customer centricity, quality and value in mind- Lead assessment and selection of suppliers via formal sourcing processes to ensure timely delivery of indirect goods and services at optimal quality and value.- Supplier relationship and performance management to ensure expected performance.- Identify and implement value improvement initiatives.- Partnering with key internal stakeholders, coordinating, and managing projects to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to deliver efficient and effective business outcomes.

Your attributes - If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you- Degree qualification and solid background and experience in procurement.- Proven indirect procurement experience across strategy, sourcing, and contracting procedures.- Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Highly developed negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including ability to build relationships with suppliers- Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills and experience.- Exposure to procure to pay platforms (desirable)
