What you'll contribute to

Step into a strategic role as an IT Procurement Specialist, where your expertise will help shape procurement outcomes that drive value, innovation, and resilience across Toyota Australia. Sitting within the Finance & Procurement Division, you'll play a key role in developing and managing procurement strategies that support business objectives through optimal supplier selection, governance, and commercial impact.

As part of TMCA's Procurement Shared Services team, you'll predominantly focus on IT procurement priorities, partnering with stakeholders to embed sustainable spend management practices and contribute to the evolution of a One Procurement shared service model.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Port Melbourne, with hybrid work arrangements and monthly travel to Sydney.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead Procurement Activities: Manage end-to-end sourcing events across indirect spend categories, with a strong focus on IT.
  • Contract & Supplier Management: Oversee RFPs, contract negotiations, renewals, and the full supplier lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with IT, Legal, Risk, and Finance to align procurement with business goals.
  • Performance & Innovation: Monitor supplier performance against KPIs/SLAs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Governance & Compliance: Apply procurement policies, contractual standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure ethical, audit-ready practices.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data and market intelligence to identify opportunities and simplify complex procurement challenges.

Your attributes - If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in procurement or vendor management, ideally within financial or professional services, with strong IT category exposure.
  • Systems & Tools Proficiency: Skilled in P2P/S2C platforms (e.g., Coupa) and advanced Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
  • Commercial & Strategic Acumen: Strong ability to balance cost, risk, governance, and innovation in sourcing decisions.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analytical & Continuous Improvement Mindset: Data-driven approach with a focus on process improvement and capability uplift.
