**About the role**
The role of Student Support Services Officer is to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders in relation to the college's educational products, respond to student enquiries and provide quality student support services which address the needs of students.
**Relationships**:
- Reporting to CEO/RTO Manager.
- Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Admissions and Education Departments.
- Working closely with external education agents, stakeholders and students.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Manage and coordinate orientation and graduation programs
- Record and maintain student records in the Student Management System and student files in accordance with policy and procedures
- Prepare and update pre-arrival information on new students
- Provide advice, recommendation and input to senior management regarding best practice student support services
- Ensure high quality student services are implemented through one on one consultation, information sessions and programs and self help resources to students
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders and departments to ensure student procedures and publications conform to all relevant existing statutory & regulatory requirement
- Deal with enquiries from students and stakeholders in relation to student support services and activities and direct enquiries to various departments, as necessary
- Undertake personal counselling with students and refer to external agencies as required
- Manage, monitor and report on the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the student services programs
- Plan and implement calendar events and student services activities designed for students
- Assist with Admissions processes as and when required
- Process student records and administrative tasks associated with student services, including but not limited to:
- _Manage, distribute, collate and report on student surveys
- Assist with course progress and attendance monitoring, intervention and
counselling
- Record and maintain all complaints and appeals in the Complaints and Appeals
Register in accordance with policy requirements
Posters ) with activities, events and important information
- Reception duties as required
- Other duties as directed by Campus Manager, Operations and Governance

- Preferred previous experience in working with students from various cultural backgrounds.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and courteous approach.
- Proven oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office, efficient date entry skills with attention to details.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and task oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret/analyse information.
- Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise and utilise time management skills.
