**The Role**
We are currently looking fora Customer Relations Specialist to join our team. You will develop relationships and provide additional services to key employer programs. Success in this role requires an ability to work with intermediaries to identify new business opportunities. The ability to build strong relationships with our customers and build programs aimed at improving claims outcomes and retention of accounts.

The role requires a close working relationship with Claims, Underwriting, and other Customer Experience Specialists and draws on them to achieve its objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure key objectives are met for customer performance and policy retention
- Development of strategic engagement plans with employer in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and coordinate customer requests to ensure consistency of service. Be the point of escalation beyond team leads as required
- Provide employers and intermediaries with high quality data and performance reporting, systems and information sessions, to improve employer performance
- Manage the transition from a competitor to CGU for new customers e.g. setting up Service Package and training, stationary etc
- Provide feedback to intermediaries to enhance our claims model and outcomes
- Keep the claims business informed about customer feedback and improvement opportunities, market share, market analysis and policy retention/exits
- Work with internal and interdivisional teams in the development of strategies for customer growth through brokers including new business initiatives, development of tender documents
- Participate in new business initiatives and projects as needed
- Represent CGU at external forums and enhance our reputation as an industry leader
- Awareness and compliance with the Group Delegations & Authorities Policy

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience successfully interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to balance the drive for improvement with Customer, Regulator, and Community expectations
- Strong leadership skills through change - the ability to achieve through others
- Strong management resource allocation skills
- Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
- Tertiary qualification(s) in health or business fields - desired
- Experience leading people through significant change - desired
- Demonstrated ability to maintain customer trust and advocacy during adversity - desired
