McLean Farms is a family-owned agri-business with a reputation for quality. We are seeking to fill the position of COMPOST OPERATOR at our Organic Nutrients compost facility. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and be a team player.

**Daily duties will include but not limited to**:

- Preparing pad surface for receival of raw materials;
- Covering and trimming of windrows;
- Turning and combining windrow materials;
- Watering of windrows;
- Screening of products; and
- Conducting daily routine maintenance and pre-starts on machinery.
- Current valid drivers’ license is essential;
- Machinery Operation competency is desirable, but not essential;
- Mechanical knowledge and experience, with the ability to troubleshoot breakdowns would be desirable, but not essential;
- Good attention to detail;
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to carry out a range of tasks;
- Be prepared to work cooperatively as part of a team, but be able to work autonomously when required;
- Must be reliable, punctual, and motivated; and
- Willingness to adhere to all health and safety, bio-security and operational requirements.

You may be required to work reasonable overtime to meet operational demands. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and pre-employment medical.

You may be required to travel and stay overnight at other locations on occasion. You should be flexible, with an ability to manage several tasks and work cooperatively within a small team.

**You must not have any birds, pigs or poultry at your place of residence.**
