Your role is within the Specialities team underwriting Security Liability, Drone Insurance, Licensed Clubs, Council Liability, Market and Stallholders Liability, Golfers Insurance, Cyber Insurance and Legal Expenses Insurance products. Comprehensive and on the job training will be provided

**What the day will look like**

You will be responsible for:

- Underwriting of New Business and Renewals, focusing on retention of existing clients and growth in new business in accordance with the Strategic Business Plan
- Ensure strict compliance as per underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures for all activities undertaken by One Underwriting
- You will keep clients appropriately informed of all matters relating to their insurance and to prepare and execute policy documentation implementing client’s instructions
- Responding promptly and efficiently to enquiries and requests for action from clients and prospective clients
- Distributing quotes, finalising schedules, Process invoicing, conduct claims reports and a range of other activities
- Taking on extra responsibilities as you progress within the role and gain increased underwriting experience
- Building rapport with and providing a professional and effective service to intermediaries and key stakeholders

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

We are looking for someone with a foundation of general insurance experience in a broking / underwriting / similar position. You will also have.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to learn and understand technical matters quickly
- Passion for customer service excellence and the ability to build, develop and maintain strong relationships
- Strong teamwork and the drive to complete administrative tasks on time and to a high standard
- Ability to work to deadlines with mínimal direct supervision while able to juggle a wide variety of responsibilities
- Intermediate-advance user of Excel preferred along with other Microsoft Office products
