**The Department**

At the heart of SBS Audio and Language are 68 language teams engaging audiences in conversations around Australian and international news and current affairs, providing cultural connect and settlement information across AM, FM and digital radio, on mobile and online. Three digital music stations showcase the best of global chill, East Asian and Desi pop music. Supporting our content makers are dedicated Activations, Business Affairs, Online, Resources and Training teams

**The Role**

We are looking for an Executive Producer with strong knowledge of Indigenous issues and communities. In this role you will drive the implementation of a podcast-first strategy for NITV Radio that positions the program as a leader in the Indigenous media space.

Reporting into the Indigenous Lead within our Audio and Language Content team this role will see you but not limited to:

- The Executive Producer is also responsible for the effective use of budget, casual staff and other resources allocated to the program.
- Undertake and/or assist with a range of journalism and content production tasks to provide multiplatform content
- Establish, develop and maintain appropriate contact with correspondents (stringers and contributors) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to divisional objectives through participation in cross-language content and other initiatives.
- Create audio podcasts (including recording interviews and features). Use relevant production systems and equipment to edit and publish content to SBS and third-party platforms.
- Ensure all relevant content scheduled is published as required, including promos, advertising and information campaigns and/or sponsorship announcements in accordance with the SBS Codes of Practice and Editorial Guidelines and other relevant policies.

The role can be based from SBS’ offices in either Sydney or Melbourne.

**About you**

As the Executive Producer experience in podcast and radio production in a leading editorial role. Drawing on your experience in creating engaging and shareable content that speaks to existing audiences and reaches new audiences on digital platforms.

The position of the Executive Producer, NITV Radio and Podcast is a pivotal role that sits within the Audio and Language Content division but collaborates closely with NITV. You must be a proficient multi-tasker, an excellent collaborator and above all, enjoy challenging work with a purpose.
