**Join the team**

Reporting to the Head of Transport, 3PL and International Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Customs & Quarantine team at our National Office. The team are responsible for ensuring the timely clearance of containers being imported and exported.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Working in one of Australia’s largest importers as the ISC Customs Manager you will:

- Lead a team of experienced customs & quarantine professionals
- Review and evaluate declarations for lodgement, providing direction and advice to the team
- Prepare, check, classify and compile Customs Entries.
- Perform electronic lodgement of Customs Entries
- Ensure effective records and document maintenance
- Liaise with overseas agents, regulatory bodies, internal and external stakeholders regarding customs requirements to expedite clearances
- Lead the team in responding to customs inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain knowledge of current customs and AQIS industry changes and trends
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the function, by looking for simpler ways of working
- Provide customs advice and support to the organisation as required

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A current Australian customs broker licence (essential)
- Demonstrated supply chain experience in the freight forwarding industry, with technical knowledge across a broad range of commodities
- Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholder
- Efficient time management and problem solving attributes
- Dedication and commitment to providing exceptional service levels
- Experience ensuring necessary Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture, Water & Environment requirements are met
- Demonstrated experience ensuring necessary customers clearances, duty rates, refunds and drawbacks are completed
