**The Role**
As a Project Support Officer within the Land Fires Program, you will be part of a high performing team directly supporting the delivery of Fires capabilities such as Long Range Fires, Close Fires, Defensive Fires and Artillery Command, Control, and Communications Networks (C3N).

You will be required, but not limited to:

- Support Project Leads and supporting staff to deliver capability outcomes.
- Manage risks, schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate and contribute to activities with Delivery Agencies, and other Groups and Services across the Defence Enterprise. Examples include Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG); Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordinance (GWEO); and Security and Estate Group (SEG), and Army formations and units.
- Support Army Headquarters governance and reporting requirements.
- Coach or supervise a team for short periods for dedicated outcomes.
- Be accountable to set work priorities.

**About our Team**
The Land Fires Program is a high-speed, high-performing team within Land Capabilities Division with a firm commitment to delivering land-based Fires capabilities in support of the Australian Defence Force.

With a strong focus on capability outcomes, the Program manages the approval and delivery of multiple Fires capabilities to include Long Range Fires, Close Fires, Defensive Fires and Artillery Command, Control, and Communications Networks (C3N), and ground based Air and Missile Defence.

The Land Fires Program directly supports the National Defence Strategy and the Integrated Investment Program. Specifically, it is aligned to one of the six immediate priorities, specifically: ‘Priority 2: Developing the ADF’s ability to precisely strike targets at longer range’

As such the Program is delivering Government priorities, which will change the way Army operates in the future.

With a blend of military and civilian staff, the Program embraces new ideas and challenges orthodoxies to ensure the best outcomes for Army are achieved, while striking a sensible balance between progress and prudence.

To be successful in this role you will be required to:

- Work independently and with reasonable autonomy and accountability to achieve desired outcomes
- Have effective and compelling communication skills across multiple methods of delivery,
- Have strong resilience and agility to adjust to competing priorities and
- Be comfortable working within an integrated workforce of military and civilian members.
