As Manager of Indigenous Partnerships, you will have the unique opportunity to drive transformational change and lead a team responsible for leading Powerlink’s Cultural and non-Indigenous heritage management and fostering meaningful relationships and partnerships with Traditional Owners and other First Nation stakeholders. You will also:

- Lead and drive First Nations engagement strategies and approaches that, recognise First Nations Peoples’ interests and fosters the development of sustainable relationships.
- Provide high level advice to the business on cultural heritage management and effectively manage heritage (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) risks on Powerlink projects throughout all phases of asset life, including managing resolution of any cultural heritage issues, to support the timely delivery of Powerlink projects and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead, develop and implement relevant First Nations and heritage management strategies and standards in collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the business and with external stakeholders and support the organisation’s social performance
- Identify partnership opportunities with First Nations communities, aligned with Powerlink’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
- Maintain strong relationships with government bodies and other key stakeholders to inform and influence policy and other relevant changes.

**Your expertise**:

- Bachelor’s degree level qualifications in archaeology, anthropology, social sciences or environmental science or another relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cultural heritage management strategies that balance the needs of stakeholder groups, and comply with legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice to stakeholders on a diverse range of cultural heritage, Native Title, and landholder issues.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with Aboriginal Parties and government departments, and ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with landholder, community groups and traditional land owners.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage cultural heritage and /engagement activities for linear infrastructure or similar developments.
