The City is seeking a Fleet Officer to drive cost effective procurement practices for the purchasing of fleet, plant, and equipment to ensure the efficient acquisition, management, and disposal of the City’s plant and fleet assets.
Reporting to the Coordinator Fleet and Depot, this position will support the City by:
- Ensuring plant and fleet are fit for purpose.
- Acting as a first point of contact for all interactions with City of Perth stakeholders and the external Fleet Management provider.
- Researching, reconciling and undertaking financial processes including procurement and budget reports.
- Managing the tender process for the City’s fleet and plant including the development of tender specifications and tender documents, reviewing submitted tenders and ensure the evaluation process is detailed to the City’s procurement standards.
- Ensuring effective supervision of contracted external Fleet Management providers and associated contracts/agreements.
To be successful in this role you will have sound knowledge and experience in fleet and plant management including procurement, plant maintenance and plant management, along with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
