**What this opportunity involves**:
As the Assistant Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of your assigned portfolio under the guidance of a Transaction Manager. Depending on your skill level, you will initially help with reporting, researching market evidence and drafting lease documents and business cases. Our aim is develop your skills progressively to learn lease negotiation, portfolio management and client management.

You will work as part of an agile, evolving team managing a large and complex government portfolio. The focus is on portfolio management but includes lease and licence negotiations, managing the lease life cycle, liaison for Landlord works, opportunity analysis and strategic planning.

**A snapshot of the role**:
Assisting in the maintenance of critical dates and financial information relating to your portfolio
Coordinating market rent reviews and preparing submissions for client approvals
Managing data capture, document management and filing
Inspecting existing or new premises
Ensuring landlords and tenants comply with all lease obligations
Account reconciliation
Researching and compiling lease transaction plans, market evidence analysis and business case papers to management, with accurate representation of asset and lease performance
Delivering high levels of responsiveness and stakeholder engagement to and with the client to ensure that the portfolio is managed effectively
Interfacing regularly with facilities managers to onboard new sites and manage current sites

You need to be well organised, have an excellent eye for detail and can learn quickly. High level written and verbal communication is a must as we will be grooming you to be client facing and to negotiate leases. Demonstratable knowledge and/or education in property, law or business is highly regarded. Prior experience in the property industry would be great.
