**Job Description**:
We are looking for a pro-active and ambitious **Development Team Lead** to support SportCast's growth from our Melbourne office.

As a Development Team Lead in the SportCast Engineering team, you will assume a senior role working closely with SportCast tech leadership to architect and develop proactive and innovative software experiences in the betting space.

You will collaborate with other senior members of the team and lead the architectural planning of new features as well as getting hands on in assuming coding responsibilities.

You will manage a team of developers in a SCRUM environment. You will form a key part of a high performance “ring-fenced” development team, working with the innovators who developed industry leading betting solutions, such as BetBuilder and same-game-multi pricing solutions.

**Key Accountabilities**
- End-to-end feature design and integration across our product suite.
- Produce and maintain architectural artifacts.
- Manage a SCRUM team of 4-6 technologists.
- Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts and customers to design solution that meet business needs.
- Guide the development team on solution implementation.
- Assist the product team to define Epics and assist in break down of User Stories in line with conceived architectures.
- Conduct and participate in architectural reviews.
- Ensure solutions developed meet aggressive performance and throughput standards as well as work on improving the performance and throughput of existing frameworks.
- Hands-on coding and implementation of work items.
- Leadership in implementing and maintaining software and coding standards across the team.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years commercial.NET/ Core and C#, Java or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in Web API, layered architecture, MVC, microservices, etc.
- Exposure to serverless technologies such as Azure functions or AWS Lambda
- Deep understanding of Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS and messaging concepts such as durable queues and long-running workflow architectural approaches
- Demonstrable experience as a senior member of an Agile based development team
- A keen and resourceful problem solver with a focus on value-driven iterative solutions
- Experience working alongside a data science team supporting data engineering and analytical requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
- Exposure to high throughput mission-critical systems
- Previous wagering industry experience would be bonus
