**About the role**

Development Victoria is seeking a Development Manager to join our Regional Property Development team to support the delivery of the Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ). BWEZ is set to become Ballarat’s engine room for jobs through Development Victoria’s delivery of highly accessible, high-quality industrial land ready for private sector investment in contemporary industrial properties and sustainable employment, supporting the growth of the region. As a Development Manager you will take a lead role in the project management of multiple projects that are at various phases of the project lifecycle.

As a **Development Manager**, your key responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the development, management and delivery of project strategies.
- Taking control of the planning, design, construction, marketing and sales, and settlement phases of one or more allocated developments to deliver on Development Victoria’s objectives.
- Leading the preparation and management of feasibility models and development options for potential projects.
- Monitoring budgets, forecasting cashflows and processing project related invoices.
- Developing project briefs, Principal’s project requirements and other project documents.
- Prepare, monitor and update project programmes.
- Coordinating and reviewing project documentation.
- Contributing to management plans and ensuring we meet WHS&E obligations.
- Keeping stakeholders up to date with issues and developments.

**About you**

Ideally you will have:

- Extensive experience developing project programmes, budgets, costs and revenue.
- Ability to independently manage consultant performance and deliverables.
- Prior experience in dealing with engineering and design consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- A strong background and demonstrated experience in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects with exposure to civil construction desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands on experience as a project facilitator operating in a highly complex public-sector environment.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Office, MS Project and Adobe Pro, or PDF-based programs.
- Tertiary qualifications in Property Development, Construction, Project Management, Civil or relevant discipline.
