**ROLE SUMMARY**:
The Manager Infrastructure and Property is accountable for the effective implementation and management of the VICSES infrastructure (facilities) and property - currently this consists of over 200 buildings and properties across Victoria, supporting our staff and volunteers.
This is a leadership role, empowering internal and external stakeholders to deliver and maintain our facilities and properties through a number of programs, projects and activities, supported by, and in accordance with, the necessary OHS, Commercial, Regulatory and Statutory requirements and a customer service approach.
The role is responsible for effective planning and execution of priority projects, explore inter-agency opportunities and monitor works in accordance with OHS contractual, regulatory and project expectations, providing regular reporting to the Director, Executive and Board.
The role is also accountable for the planning and execution of the annual building maintenance works and repairs for all VICSES unit and office facilities and provides advice to the Executive and Board on all program matters as well as managing VICSES facility occupancy agreements and requirements (leases, licences, committees of management, memorandums of understanding and land transfers from local Councils).
**WHO WE ARE**:
Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
