The Creative Activation and Public Engagement (CAPE) Directorate enhances the value of this unique opportunity by driving and delivering a strategic approach to creative activations and broader public engagement for ECU.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for two Creative Futures Coordinators - agile and motivated thinkers who can help turn ideas into action. Working across the University, you’ll help drive ECU’s strategic ambitions at the intersection of creativity, business and technology by coordinating across diverse portfolio of initiatives, programs and collaborative opportunities.

These roles are ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, loves connecting people and ideas, and brings both structure and creative thinking to how they work - translating strategy into clear documentation, plans and outcomes that drive progress. You’ll join the CAPE team as we help deliver some of ECU’s most exciting future-facing initiatives, including those aligned to the new City Campus and broader strategic ambitions for a university of the future.
About You
You are a collaborative problem-solver who enjoys making things happen. You can take a concept, gather the right people, and coordinate delivery with a thoughtful, inclusive and outcomes-focused approach. You’re confident working across disciplines, know how to navigate institutional systems, and are energised by creative, purpose-driven work.
**You will bring**:
Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives or programs in complex organisational environments.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including the ability to build strong internal relationships.
Proven ability to prepare clear, high-quality documentation including presentations, proposals, process maps, frameworks and reporting.
Familiarity with the higher-education, creative or public sectors is desirable, but not essential.
You are proactive, adaptable, and align with ECU’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time fixed term position (until end of 2027) attracts remuneration of $100,512 to $112,622 pa (HEW 7), plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
