**The Company**

This organisation is one of Australia's largest and most successful privately owned businesses. They manage and sell a range of mechanical products, and have a diverse customer base across Australia. A key division within the organisation is well placed to grow and develop into a highly profitable and strategic part of the organisation. Due to this they have a need to recruit this critical leadership role within their Melbourne head office.

**The Role**

As the Operations Manager you will lead and improve the performance of the co-ordination and production team. This team is responsible for working within a diverse manufacturing environment, executing on production requirements whilst improving the performance of their productivity, quality and safety. The responsibilities include:

- Provide strong leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of 100+ production staff
- Deliver outstanding productivity performance, quality and safety
- Lead the team to ensure all work schedules and activities are in place and are met on a regular basis
- Labour & Maintenance planning to meet scheduled work
- Deliver planned operation and financial outcomes through innovation and efficiency
- Work closely with other operations leaders across the site to ensure service levels are maintained, problem solve issues and work on collaborative efficiency projects
- Deliver KPI’s on uptime, reliability and on time production

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will be:

- Ideally tertiary qualified
- Ensure that safety across the business is the number 1 priority
- Open to any industry as long as it aligned to this role, such as manufacturing of mechanical products, construction, mechanical trade, earth-moving equipment, etc.
- A strong analytical ability and experience in developing metrics to measure and improve operational capabilities
- Excellent leadership skills
