This role supports TMR to deliver an integrated, resilient, and safe multi-modal freight system for Queensland's economy and communities, fostered through innovative solutions to existing and emerging freight and supply chain issues aligned with the Queensland Freight Strategy and Queensland Freight Action Plan.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with government agencies and freight industry stakeholders and engage regularly with these stakeholders to identify and provide advice on current and emerging freight and supply chain issues and challenges.
- Developing well researched advice, presentations and/or briefings on emerging freight issues and challenges to inform policy, planning and investment decision making.
- Reviewing and developing strategic freight options on priority issues in alignment with the Queensland Freight Strategy, the Queensland Freight Action Plan and the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy and Action Plan.
- Developing and delivering high priority freight projects, plans, and strategic initiatives that respond to stakeholder requirements and are aligned to broader government priorities and departmental strategies.
- Preparing and reviewing executive-level briefing notes, ministerials, reports, submissions, business cases and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards to effectively brief the Minister and other senior management on various issues, activities and/or projects.

- Experience in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including strong analytical and research skills and ability to summarise and communicate complex ideas.
- Experience developing and managing projects and strategic initiatives, including undertaking procurement, progress reporting and evaluation, stakeholder consultation, and ensuring good governance in line with best practice approaches.
- Experience in providing written and verbal advice to support the development of executive-level briefing notes, ministerials, reports, submissions, business cases and other correspondence in line with departmental standards.
- Understanding of relevant legislative, policy and planning regulatory frameworks, and relevant transport strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to deliver a program of work.
