We have an exciting opportunity to join the Merchandise Promotions team based at Macquarie Park.

This role is responsible for leading a team that executes all Promotional communication & training materials for our teams to enable shopper led & channel specific promotions.

It also partners with key stake holders to deliver all Promotional and Support Operations communications, ensuring continuously improved, simplified & standardised communications, supporting the seamless execution of promotions, delivering growth for retailers and suppliers.

What you’ll do

Deliver financial results, including increased Promotional Retail Sales, Promotional Warehouse Sales, improved Category Retailer Profitability and improved Metcash Profitability

Lead the Promotions Communication team to execute the Channel & Merchandise Promotional strategies, timelines and communications.

Manage the Promotional and Events Communications via Partnering with Trading, Channel and Marketing Teams targets and delivering the Food Group strategies on all promotional activities.

Manage the Successful Independent Magazine

Lead team in maintaining and create training materials for MetProms, in conjunction with the Promotions Systems Team

Maintain Ticketing Guides in conjunction with Marketing & Retail Tech

Manage the Promotions SharePoint and the communication updates.

What you’ll bring

Previous experience working within complex environments, managing change, influencing, and partnering with multiple stakeholders and leading relationships

Be a creative thinker and communicator with a demonstrated ability to create and adapt communications to various stakeholders inside and outside our organization

A resourceful, innovative, relationship driven and results focused manager who can manage multiple & often competing timelines.

The ability to understand suppliers and retailers with experience in a similar role, preferably in an Independent or franchise model

An understanding of the independent retail landscape

The ability to liaise with large and geographically diverse teams

5 plus years’ experience in Retail/ Wholesale/ FMCG
